The world premiere of Genevieve Nnaji's movie "Road to Yesterday," held at the closing night of the 2015 African International Film Festival on Friday, November 13, 2015.
During a press conference for the movie, the actress spoke on the much anticipated movie "Road to Yesterday."
Describing the movie as a statement, the actress said;
"I
put my heart and soul to it. “Road to Yesterday” is a statement for me.
I told the kind of story that as an artist, I’m interested in.
There
are certain genre of films that I pay attention to as an individual.
Coming out to do my own production, obviously, it had to reflect who I
was, and my interest.There’s that and the fact that I wanted the movie to be a Nigerian
film. It was for the people, by the people. Everyone who worked on the
production, were Nigerians," actress added.'Road to Yesterday' stars Nigerian-British actor, Oris Erhuerho as ‘Izu’
the burly husband and father, and Genevieve Nnaji as ‘Victoria’ the
conflicted wife and mother.
